Alexis Fernando Jimenez The party is like all, with streamers, garlands of colors, music and vocals. The fun continues streak since the dawn until the sun dies on the horizon. People wear their best costumes. There is joy, dishes ranging from one house to another, and smiles everywhere … The only difference is that the holiday event is held in honor of a girl of four years. It’s called Kumari.
The little girl who becomes the center of Indrajata Festival in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, in India. She walks the streets and in its wake, the people revere. The place of idols For those who live in the West, these customs are an extreme representation of religious fanaticism. But for them, a way of witnessing to their gods the convictions that they are entitled. But every one who, though professing faith in God, has its own idols. The work, family, love of money, a radio or television artist, career, or perhaps engaged in social position.
It’s a different way idolatry, but idolatry in the end. Excessive inclination to something or someone goes against the provisions of the Lord. He instructed his people when he said “have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3). This brief admonition should lead us to review which is what they took our efforts and see if that love the material, not the idol has displaced God. He must have first place in us. Now ask yourself what are my idols? Have you made the right decision? The best decision that every human being can take, is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Having him in our hearts is very easy. Just tell him, in prayer, wherever you are: “Lord Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for my sins, forgive them and open the doors to a new life. I receive You into my heart as the sole and sufficient Savior. Make me the person You want me to be. Amen “If you prayed that prayer, congratulations. Now I have three recommendations for you.
